General description
- EBC brake discs. MADE IN UK.
- The aim of the development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses low-carbon HPSR steel, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3-micron thick layer of zinc, which abrades in the area of the brake pad contact zone already during braking. It is only in this area that light tarnish rust can form after a long period of use.
- The brake discs are drilled in the shape of a birdcage in order to have as few holes as possible while optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and less wear.
- Rigid brake disc.
- Made of rolled HPSR steel with low carbon content.
- Braking surface drilled with an optimal arrangement of holes.
- Radially ground.
- Galvanized for protection against corrosion.
- EBC recommends EBC Organic brake pads or, for sporty drivers, EBC Double-H sintered brake pads.
- Independent design.
