Make sure you order the right product. The set includes two sets of inserts of two different thicknesses: soft (blue insert) and hard (green insert). Keep in mind that the softer the tiles, the better the response to the gas at the bottom of the rotation, and vice versa when it comes to harder tiles.
The original plates are made of metal, if one of them is damaged and ends up inside the engine it gives us a very high probability of a serious malfunction. Polini's product is made of materials that, if the plate is damaged, the engine can "survive" without serious damage. If you have noticed that your air filter is fouled with the mixture then it is high time to change the valve plates (probably the old ones no longer adhere properly to the valve and pass the other way).
