Hopefully it does what it's supposed to. I don't want to try it out, but the tailbone protector definitely makes a good impression and fits perfectly,

I replaced the protectors in my motorcycle jeans with this model. At the factory they had D3O protectors on. Unfortunately, they caused chafing on my knees after prolonged riding. These fit much better on the knee and there are no chafing problems. Very lightweight and flexible plastic. Aesthetically they look a little worse than the Sas-Tec copies put on Held's factory pants, but in a "blind test" they are indistinguishable.

The protector is easy to cut to the shape of the pocket in the jacket. When warmed up from the body, it gets very malleable and fits great on the back. It doesn't pinch anywhere. The wife finds it more pleasant to lean against the center trunk.
