As a construction, it looks very sturdy. Perhaps the alarm could be surrounded by something metal instead of plastic, to provide more protection against attempted tampering. The cost is quite high, but it seems to be worth the money. Another drawback is that when the machine is moved, the alarm lingers for a few seconds, producing a few beeps to warn, and then goes off. This could be improved so that the machine has to be moved again to start ringing. Not once or twice has the alarm been triggered for trivial reasons, such as when a passerby accidentally touched it or a dog walked by, and woke up the whole neighborhood. For this reason, I no longer use the alarm unless I know the bike is parked somewhere where there is no danger of accidentally hitting it.
