General description

This solar charger is the "brain" in the new line of OptiMate Solarâ¢ modular charge kits
Includes a 10W weatherproof solar panel and a smart OptiMate Solar combination charger-monitor controller that charges & maintains a 12V battery during the day and monitors and displays the battery state of charge at night
The solar panelâs wide spectrum poly-crystalline technology generates power even in low light, that the OptiMate controller converts into high current pulses more effective for charging and maintenance of a 12V battery
At night the smart controller turns into a battery monitor, providing battery information every 3 seconds on the easy to read 3 LED panel
Saves flat batteries from as low as 1V with its unique pulse action
Battery condition is displayed every 3 seconds and draws less than 0.5 mA during monitor mode
Automatically switches to charge when solar power is sufficient
The OptiMate charger-monitor controller is separate to the solar panel and can be placed close to the vehicle or battery so that charge and maintenance progress can be easily followed
The solar panel must be mounted and angled to receive direct sunlight
