In the Thor Blitz boots I've used, 2 of the 6 straps have laid down their young lives, and this is more on the altar of shoe fitting and buckle locking, than hadkor yanking on the bushes. This does not speak well of the material of the straps (no reinforcement of the shank, just injection-molded plastic). But it's not the fault or merit of the store, it's how the manufacturer thought of it on the cheap. For this, replacement belts are cheap, so I treated them like shoelaces: if they break, they are replaced.
They slide down the calf a bit, but the foot holds up great. They protect well against water. The reflectors are easy to see. A strap around the ankle would be helpful.
