A simple device and very helpful. After I bought it, I immediately checked the tires on my motorcycle and car. Supposedly there is a TWI indicator on the tire, but this is the maximum wear and it is not worth waiting until the tire is so badly worn, so I check it beforehand. With this gauge you can check if the tire is also wearing evenly on the sides. E.g. ...

A simple device and very helpful. After I bought it, I immediately checked the tires on my motorcycle and car. Supposedly there is a TWI indicator on the tire, but this is the maximum wear and it is not worth waiting until the tire is so badly worn, so I check it beforehand. With this gauge you can check if the tire is also wearing evenly on the sides. E.g. in a car you can immediately detect a bad alignment. The gauge has a scale in [mm] with a mark of maximum wear for summer tires and winter tires separately.
