Its perfect fit means that no dirty air enters the carburetor, but only clean air filtered through the filter. This hose is made of high quality rubber. It is like a thread from a tea bag. You can brew tea without it, but when you drink it, the tea bag will fall into your mouth, which is not pleasant. This rubber tube will allow you to suck only clean air. Without tea grounds, if it were not for it, your carburetors would be siphoned inside. And you'd have to give the cylinders a grinding once a month, which is not fun.
