A simple device and very helpful. After I bought it, I immediately checked the tires on my motorcycle and car. Supposedly there is a TWI indicator on the tire, but this is the maximum wear and it is not worth waiting until the tire is so badly worn, so I check it beforehand. With this gauge you can check if the tire is also wearing evenly on the sides. E.g. in a car you can immediately detect a bad alignment.
